- Sandham’s Mild Creamy Lancashire.
A mild cheese with an age profile of 4 months. Suitable for vegetarians. A creamy, buttery texture with a full bodied and slightly salty flavour.
This is a traditional Lancashire cheese which has been made using a two day curd - that is to say that a curd made on one day is added to the previous day’s curd.
This unique cheese making method is only used when making traditional Lancashire cheese and it is this that gives it it’s superb texture and flavour.
- Clawson’s Blue Stilton.
Made at the dairy in Melton Mowbray. A velvety, close textured cheese with a pale ivory paste. Its flavour is rich and sharp. Known everywhere as the ‘King of English Cheeses’
is one of the few with any reputation in other countries. One of the oldest cheeses, Stilton was first mentioned by Daniel Defoe in 1727 when he visited the Leicestershire town of Stilton.
- Wensleydale & Cranberries.
Manufactured by Greenfield’s Dairy of Inglewhite. This is a blended cheese of Wensleydale and real cranberries. The Wensleydale cheese is lightly pressed with a smooth texture. It has a milky flavour which is clean and refreshing.
There are no artificial sweetners added as the cranberries are sweet enough. It is suitable for vegetarians.
